Character: [OU] Jade Curtiss
Canon: Tales of the Abyss
Info: An army colonel with background in (morally questionable) science. Tends to keep people at arm's length with politeness and sarcasm, but he's actually quite dependable when he's not being a complete troll.
Job(s): Jade has maxed out Black Mage and Dragoon, and additionally has Scholar, White Mage, Magitek Knight, Illusionist, Pirate, and Gambler.
Housing: B-14
Moogle: Rosepuff. Very affectionate and fussy, and absolutely convinced that, given enough love, Jade will show he's really a Nice Person inside. Jade disagrees with this.
Status: Initially Jade's interest in Crystallis came merely from necessity and academic interest. Since then, though, recent events have made the situation considerably more personal for him, which is why he's very invested in finding a way to stop the Calamity.
Employment: He's in Esdham military as a Captain.
Plans: Event-wise, Jade will be in the thick of battle. Depending on how that turns out, he may go see what Kalki is all about. As for long-term plans, he's hoping to get into Esdham army's science branch in order to better understand Magitek.
Desired CR: I'd really like to branch out to new CR! Acquaintances, comrades, people to troll, people to reluctantly mentor... Anything goes.
Undesired Things: None come to mind at the moment.
Shipping: Unlikely to happen, as Jade's slow to warm up and even then... not exactly romance material. It would have to develop naturally.

AuYuna... HOW DID THIS HAPPEN! I mean... Yes CR with the wonderful, talented Jade Curtiss :p

Me being weird aside. I adore how Jade and auYuna talk. I want her to find out that he saw the wedding because it will increase her suspicions about some other things as well as confirm that Jade has met the other Yuna as well. I guess it will be after the war, depending how things go, to see when they can talk next. auYuna wants to get involved more with protecting people but imma have her get super hurt in this war. Cuz I'm evil and auYuna's the sort to sacrifice herself for others anyway.

I like Zelda and Jade's CR because it has a level of respect that only a few hold with Zelda. She's friendly with everyone but she only respects a few people. While Dan is on Hiatus I believe Link is in Crystal sleep so she's trying hard to hold herself together through this month T-T

I don't think he's met Terra or Yuffie... that I remember lol. So that's that! Of course I'm always happy to toss those two at him as well. Let me know if any of this sounds interesting or spurs any ideas. As always its great to thread with you!

But yes, I'm loving how well they get along! Depending on how reckless she gets with the war, Jade might scold her afterwards -- which would actually be a good thing since he doesn't bother scolding people he doesn't care about. Actually, I have a feeling Yuna is eventually going to quietly sneak from the "drinking buddy" status to "friend" without Jade noticing. He's going to be so annoyed when he realizes.

As for Zelda, Jade actually respects her more after finding out she's more pragmatic (ie. capable of manipulating people for the greater good) that she appears. So congrats, she has leveled up from harmless little girl to sneaky, sneaky goddess~

Jade did meet Yuffie twice, for the decoding thing and the quest with Sparks! I think of all your muses, she's the best target for trolling, don't you think?

Zelda doesn't know he knows O.O so that's interesting.

My the end of ou!Yuna's memory, I am going to have her see all participants for who they really are, rather than the tricks her mind played on her. I know I can be super slow sometimes, but I put a lot of effort into it so aftermath / revelations would be appreciaed for ou!Yuna as well. :) Of course, this wouldn't be until things have (once again) settled for them, aheh...! And since she doesn't know Jade at all, she'll feel quite exposed -- what a terrible first impression she must have made.

And yeah, I'm up for them meeting up sometime when there's a good opportunity. Jade will be curious about the differences between the two Yunas, so he might get nosy. :)
