— Most importantly, have fun!
1/ Welcome to the world of Crystallis!
You have seen reality shatter and collapse around you, in the depths of the void you found a Crystal and now you are in the city of Aqures Ixen, surrounded by Moogles and people as lost and confused as you are. On the bright side, everyone thinks you're a hero! On the downside, they expect you to save the world. Maybe their expectations are a bit too much. Thankfully, you're not abandoned to your fate as a Moogle explains to you everything you need to know. Maybe it's time to get to know your companions in misfortune. Besides, it seems this has occurred past month already-- Maybe some people who have been here for longer than you may help.
2/ Do you like your new life?
No? Well, either way, you better get used to it, to your new powers, to your new house, to the ball of fur that follows your every steps—Who knows, maybe you'll even make some friends here. Besides, even if everyone expects you to save the world, fighting isn't the only way to do so. Maybe you could open a shop to help and properly equip your friends who are actually eager to fight. Maybe you could try and gather people who think diplomacy can stop war, you could even start your own researches on the Crystals— Or you could make sure your house is the prettiest in all of Aqures Ixen. Anything is possible.
3/ Neighborhood woes
The government of Aqures Ixen is very sorry, but it seems there are too many of you Heroes of Light. Hence why there is no free houses left in district dedicated to housing you. This may also be why you're not alone in the house that was given to you. Hopefully you're not living with a mad villain plotting to take over the world late at night, and hopefully your neighbor isn't a singer who doesn't know how to sing. On the bright side, you may have someone very cool living with you and an artist next door! It's just not likely.
4/ Crystallis de Chocobo
Upon arrival, your Moogle gave you a map of Crystallis. This world may be a bit big for you to explore, so why not go to the Chocobo Farm and ask for a Chocobo? These big birds can't fly, but they're much more efficient than horses when it comes to travelling. Maybe it's your first time riding a Chocobo; it might be a good idea to have someone with you in case something goes wrong. Or maybe the old man at the farm didn't have any Chocobos left and gave you some Chocobo Lure© so you can go and capture your own. You can find details on Chocobo Capture here.
5/ A thing called Mognet
Hopefully you weren't used to Internet and cellphones back home. Otherwise, you might be a tiny bit confused when your Moogle returns to you with a stack of letters. Or maybe someone else's Moogle is coming to you with a voice message it learnt by heart and is now going to recite to you with a lot of Kupo. That's how the "network" works here.
6/ A thing called Strike
In spite of how old-fashioned it is, Mognet is very useful and odds are that you may have become dependent on it. Hopefully not, because one local tradition seems to be Mognet Strikes. Nobody knows any more whether the Moogles have legitimate reasons to go on strike or if they are just lazy. But today, Mognet is down, and to get information you have no choice but going to the public board in the third district or in taverns.
7/ I believe I can fly~
You are on an Airship! Airships regularly depart from Aqures Ixen and stop by most major cities in the world, so they're the perfect means of transportation for you to go and explore this world. You can go anywhere in a matter of hours — One can only hope you don’t have motion sickness.
8/ Exploration
Enough expository banter. Now is the time to explore. Maybe rather than spending most of your time in Aqures Ixen, you'd rather spend it living in Balicea, or betting on Chocobo Races in Trano Golsaucia. Or maybe you'd rather go and explore some ancient ruins that may hold some precious information. With Airships and Chocobos at your disposal, you can go nearly anywhere that isn't under imperial control; unless you have a death wish of course.
9/ Random Encounter
You were minding your own business walking around, and suddenly monsters attacked you! Time to put to use the skills you've learned with your Jobs! Alternatively, maybe this encounter isn't random at all, and you have been sent on a mission to kick some imperial asses in the war confronting the Heran Empire and the Republic of Esdham. Good luck!
10/ Getting Jobs is hard
It all started when you asked Cid to give you a new Job. What could and should have been a formality, quickly turned into a trial. All you wanted was a Job, and here you are in the wild, hunting for a Malboro Vine. Or maybe you are in some ancient and decrepit ruins looking for an artifact. Or yet again, maybe she simply asked you to assist her in her researches on the Crystals. Getting new Jobs is not easy. Consider yourself happy though, at least you don't have to do that alone.
11/ The world is subject to unrelenting pain and suffering…
This is why you should play a game. After all, there are things a lot more important than saving the world: Blitzball is one of them. Triple Triad is another. Why don't you take a break and do something different for once; anyone wanting to play Blitzball is given a special potion allowing them to breath underwater, whereas someone who wants to play Triple Triad should have no difficulties finding veterans more than happy to get rid of their low level cards.
12/ Events of the Past
Missed an event you would have liked to participate in? The Test Drive Meme is the perfect place to play this event without being restricted by the game's chronology! Maybe you would have liked to capture a Chocobo during Crystalis de Chocobo, maybe you would have liked to be lost and attacked from all sides in the creepy Magitek Research Facility, or maybe you'd like to celebrate the Christmas of Crystallis. Yet again, maybe you would have liked to regain your true power and subsequently be on your path to death, as in The Night of the Thirteen Moogles. Or how about participating in Christmas at Crystallis or fighting in a war for the warriors among you?
13/ Wild Card
Don't like the options offered here? Go crazy and choose what you want to do in this world!

No stranger than to have been brought here to begin with. […what are these words you are speaking though.] … Her Grace… in play again? Has something happened in Ul'dah? [did the Syndicate make some move? Ah, with the Empire at bay for the time being… perhaps they finally thought the time was right. If she could only return-]
No? [ah, and a face of sudden realisation.] I fear… I do not, either. [she holds her hand over her heart.] K'pandolu Tohka.
no subject
[At the mention of confusion, he raised a eyebrow.] Of course... time and space plays fools of us again. The Syndicate indeed had made a move. However, their efforts were foiled by their own doing. Ul'dah however was spared chaos by their own hand however.
[He bowed, and looked around for a moment. Nothing in sight and he wasn't tempting fate.] My name apparently is cursed, by some unseen form of japery, and thus I can only give you my initials, SE. Young Terra has come to calling me Sea, but many know me as Adventurer, or, like many others, Warrior of Light.
no subject
Is that so? I am glad to hear it… and yet troubled that such came to pass in the first place. When did this happen…?
Cursed? [ah. Well, then. Her face remains troubled for a moment, but she nods.] If that suits you, I would use that as well, then. […it's probably simpler. And that-] Were you- there, then…? At Carteneau?
So you've met Terra?
no subject
[He sighed a little.] It was on the eve of celebration, months ago. The Syndicate, lead by a most loathsome man, attempted to poison the Sultana and blame it on our allies. I was the only one left, as they fled. Again, however, this tale is muddled, for it seems many have experienced this. I do not know if the walls of time and space are solid anymore, and it seems my story runs parallel.
[Sea nodded.] Yes, I cannot give my true name, without a form of liquid being doused on my head. Perhaps it is irony, but they merely called me Hero many a time. I was at Carteneau... though I could not see the final moments of Louisroux clearly, as he whisked my friends and I into a time vortex.
And yes, I have met Terra. She is a gentle soul. [He grinned.] And very pretty.
no subject
Lord Lolorito? […does she even know who any of the others are on the Syndicate besides Raubahn… probably not right now.] Muddled? [she really has no idea what to make of the talk of the walls of time and space, unfortunately.]
A truly discerning and baffling curse. [what even is your life, bro. But she seems impressed, on having her guess confirmed.] A time vortex? Incredible… He must have truly been a great man.
[she snorts, ears flicking for a moment. With a moment's consideration, though, she nods.] I'll agree on that. [both parts, if she's honest.] Though… it seems her world was troubled, too.
no subject
[He nodded at that.] Yes. A manipulative man, but he has no guile against the Sultana. In fact, he spoke up against her dissolving the sultanate in order to preserve peace in Ul'dah.
[Meteor smiled a little at that.] I did not speak with him much, but he did great things. Greater still.
Really? It seems like that is a common thing in our tales then.
no subject
He did? [what. She chews on the inside of her cheek for a moment, wondering. What was Nanamo thinking, to suggest that…?]
[another nod.] I've only heard the stories. Would that I could have met him. […who knows how that would've gone, though.]
It is. To tell the truth, it concerns me- that it spread across so many worlds…
no subject
[Meteor nodded, sighing a little.] It is quite the story. And she had her reasons for it.
He was a great man, arguably the greatest sage of our time. [Meteor wondered if he should mention what happened after, but withheld it for now.]
Indeed. My story runs parallel with many. Almost word for word. It is strange, and unheard of. But I have met many who have claimed the Warriors of Light of Eorzea are held by many, and not just myself.
no subject
Perhaps I shall ask her, then. [you know, whenever she next gets the opportunity
if she does.]And a terrible loss to us all. … We'll make do, though. As best as we can. [it'll all come out in time. probably.]
[she hesitates.] Mm… there were more… certain similarities. Like the magitek units… [a headshake.] Parallel?
no subject
[Meteor nodded at the second, and then had to agree with the last bit.] Indeed. The Scions will carry his legacy after all.
[Parallel yes.] Yes, exactly. Wedge named the one I use, Maggie. He consistently fusses over her though.
no subject
On into the dawn. [a nod.]
Maggie? [her brow furrows for a moment. To hear the idea is one thing; to hear it applied… Still. That wasn't quite what she'd meant to refer to- but in time perhaps.] It's good he looks after her- I fear I wouldn't have the knowledge if something terrible happened to her. [and she is quite fond of her magitek armour.]
no subject
[Misunderstands abound but at least they were technically on the same page.] Yes exactly. And has any of our friends from Cid's enterprises come to this world, might I ask? Pray, it would be good to see them again.
no subject
[she shakes her head again.] No one from the Ironworks has arrived in Crystallis, to the best of my knowledge. [she pauses, tail flicking.] That said- some of the people we've been dealing with bear their names, if not their appearance.
no subject
Hmm... so counterparts then, if in name at the very least. [He hedged a guess.] Cid, Biggs, Wedge, Jessie?
no subject
[a nod] So it seems. The Cid of this world- of Roalie- is an engineer, who helped create airships in this world… Biggs and Wedge have no such connection, however. Biggs leads the Kingdom's military, and Wedge… I'm not entirely sure. Both, though, are Hyur, rather than Roegadyn and Lalafell. And Jessie… [she hesitates, ears lowering and gaze going off to one side.]
no subject
Same Cid then, and I will have to get used to seeing those two as Hyur. [He noted her hesitation.] I take it by your hesitation and reaction, Jessie is naught a good person...
no subject
[she shakes her head.] Besides their shared interest in engineering, I wouldn't say they're much alike- certainly not in temperament. [another moment's hesitation, and then she nods slowly.] …The person we knew as Jessie is not. The one she took the name from… I couldn't say.
no subject
I will keep a note of that. It sounds like she has affected more than just the tuning of mechanics.
no subject
[she tilts her head, ears flicking uncertainly.] She was researching the crystals- and the legend of the Heroes as well, I believe.
no subject
Hmm, then perhaps her research is where to start if we wish to continue...?
no subject
[she nods] Assuming she's left any behind. [she puffs out a breath, and shakes her head, attempting to dispel her irritation.] Perhaps we'll even find something useful.
no subject
[He bit his lip a little, and then nodded.] There's always a clue somewhere, if you look hard enough.
no subject
[she nods, a little slowly.] Perhaps so. We shall just have to see what we can find.
no subject
We've got an ally in the name of a woman named Mide. She seems to have some insight to the teachings in the codex.
Good. No stone unturned then.
no subject
Indeed? That's good to hear. Where does she come from?
No. With luck, we should find what we need to finally put this to an end.
