— Reply with a character you wish to test in the game's setting.
— Feel free to use one of the prompt below or make one of your own!
— Tag around! This is a panfandom RP, so don't hesitate to tag both castmates and non-castmates.
— Most importantly, have fun!
1/ Welcome to the world of Crystallis!
You have seen reality shatter and collapse around you, in the depths of the void you found a Crystal and now you are in the city of Aqures Ixen, surrounded by Moogles and people as lost and confused as you are. On the bright side, everyone thinks you're a hero! On the downside, they expect you to save the world. Maybe their expectations are a bit too much. Thankfully, you're not abandoned to your fate as a Moogle explains to you everything you need to know. Maybe it's time to get to know your companions in misfortune. Besides, it seems this has occurred past month already-- Maybe some people who have been here for longer than you may help.
2/ Do you like your new life?
No? Well, either way, you better get used to it, to your new powers, to your new house, to the ball of fur that follows your every steps—Who knows, maybe you'll even make some friends here. Besides, even if everyone expects you to save the world, fighting isn't the only way to do so. Maybe you could open a shop to help and properly equip your friends who are actually eager to fight. Maybe you could try and gather people who think diplomacy can stop war, you could even start your own researches on the Crystals— Or you could make sure your house is the prettiest in all of Aqures Ixen. Anything is possible.
3/ Neighborhood woes
The government of Aqures Ixen is very sorry, but it seems there are too many of you Heroes of Light. Hence why there is no free houses left in district dedicated to housing you. This may also be why you're not alone in the house that was given to you. Hopefully you're not living with a mad villain plotting to take over the world late at night, and hopefully your neighbor isn't a singer who doesn't know how to sing. On the bright side, you may have someone very cool living with you and an artist next door! It's just not likely.
4/ Crystallis de Chocobo
Upon arrival, your Moogle gave you a map of Crystallis. This world may be a bit big for you to explore, so why not go to the Chocobo Farm and ask for a Chocobo? These big birds can't fly, but they're much more efficient than horses when it comes to travelling. Maybe it's your first time riding a Chocobo; it might be a good idea to have someone with you in case something goes wrong. Or maybe the old man at the farm didn't have any Chocobos left and gave you some Chocobo Lure© so you can go and capture your own. You can find details on Chocobo Capture here.
5/ A thing called Mognet
Hopefully you weren't used to Internet and cellphones back home. Otherwise, you might be a tiny bit confused when your Moogle returns to you with a stack of letters. Or maybe someone else's Moogle is coming to you with a voice message it learnt by heart and is now going to recite to you with a lot of Kupo. That's how the "network" works here.
6/ A thing called Strike
In spite of how old-fashioned it is, Mognet is very useful and odds are that you may have become dependent on it. Hopefully not, because one local tradition seems to be Mognet Strikes. Nobody knows any more whether the Moogles have legitimate reasons to go on strike or if they are just lazy. But today, Mognet is down, and to get information you have no choice but going to the public board in the third district or in taverns.
7/ I believe I can fly~
You are on an Airship! Airships regularly depart from Aqures Ixen and stop by most major cities in the world, so they're the perfect means of transportation for you to go and explore this world. You can go anywhere in a matter of hours — One can only hope you don’t have motion sickness.
8/ Exploration
Enough expository banter. Now is the time to explore. Maybe rather than spending most of your time in Aqures Ixen, you'd rather spend it living in Balicea, or betting on Chocobo Races in Trano Golsaucia. Or maybe you'd rather go and explore some ancient ruins that may hold some precious information. With Airships and Chocobos at your disposal, you can go nearly anywhere that isn't under imperial control; unless you have a death wish of course.
9/ Random Encounter
You were minding your own business walking around, and suddenly monsters attacked you! Time to put to use the skills you've learned with your Jobs! Alternatively, maybe this encounter isn't random at all, and you have been sent on a mission to kick some imperial asses in the war confronting the Heran Empire and the Republic of Esdham. Good luck!
10/ Getting Jobs is hard
It all started when you asked Jessie to give you a new Job. What could and should have been a formality, quickly turned into a trial. All you wanted was a Job, and here you are in the wild, hunting for a Malboro Vine. Or maybe you are in some ancient and decrepit ruins looking for an artifact. Or yet again, maybe she simply asked you to assist her in her researches on the Crystals. Getting new Jobs is not easy. Consider yourself happy though, at least you don't have to do that alone.
11/ The world is subject to unrelenting pain and suffering…
This is why you should play a game. After all, there are things a lot more important than saving the world: Blitzball is one of them. Triple Triad is another. Why don't you take a break and do something different for once; anyone wanting to play Blitzball is given a special potion allowing them to breath underwater, whereas someone who wants to play Triple Triad should have no difficulties finding veterans more than happy to get rid of their low level cards.
12/ Events of the Past
Missed an event you would have liked to participate in? The Test Drive Meme is the perfect place to play this event without being restricted by the game's chronology! Maybe you would have liked to capture a Chocobo during Crystalis de Chocobo, maybe you would have liked to be lost and attacked from all sides in the creepy Magitek Research Facility. Or maybe you would have liked to regain your true power and subsequently be on your path to death, as in The Night of the Thirteen Moogles.
13/ Wild Card
Don't like the options offered here? Go crazy and choose what you want to do in this world!

"Guess I got no choice." He didn't really want to fight, but he didn't see this thing about to waltz and do something else either.
Fang drew his sword and pointed it at the monster. It couldn't have been that much difference than the fury he was using. He was practically a natural with it, after all. The brunette lunged forward with a battle cry and struck the monster. The warrior dealt considerable damage, though it wasn't over yet. The teen pivoted out of harm before his final slash and finished off the weak monster.
"That was easy." No really. Why did it even bother? Not that Fang had time to get too comfortable; two more monsters strolled his way.
"You've got to be kidding." Seriously, he had better things to do than fight. Like eat. All this being lost and confused was making him hungry.

Yuffie giggled as the blades hit. She kept her seat on the high branch and playfully kicked her feet in the air. Mooshoo sat next to her fidgeting with his new brown bandana.
She had been on her way to a picnic with her moogle when she spotted the boy and decided to stop and watch.

"Who're--" He paused to dodge the monster. "Dammit!" Okay, fight first, questions later. The teen thrust his blade forward, cutting into the monster before yanking it out. This attack was more critical than the last one, and it seemed to do the trick.
"Be careful, Kupo!" Mogryn fretted, it was a pretty close call.
"Will you shut up! I know what I'm doing." Maybe.

Kei | Moon Child
There is a man, standing on top of a very tall building. Perhaps it's strange simply because he's there or maybe because he's as still as a statue in the moments before dawn. Kei stood there facing the sky as the sun started to peek over the horizon. Normally this would be the time when he turned away to find shelter on such a cloudless down but not this day. Today he will see the sun rise, feel the warmth on his skin without the worry of bursting into flames or the pain as his skin burned under the rays.
How long has it been since he could do that? Decades, at least. He also doesn't have to worry about taking a life to sustain his own in this place. Isn't tormented by the very idea of it. The truth of death here was known to him but this sort of immortality was better than the one he had in Mallepa. Here Kei could be just like everyone else and it started with this.
With enjoying something he hasn't been able to do. A cigarette rested casually in his fingers, halfway done. When Kei sensed the presence of someone near him, his head tilted but he couldn't tear his eyes away from the view. There was a faint smile carved into his features almost as if he hadn't done it recently, or a lot in general. The sky started to turn orange as the orb started to emerge fully. "Beautiful, isn't it?"
no subject
He wasn't talking about the sunrise. He had seen a lot in his time, although he had never really thought that he would see very many more after that final fight with Son in the warren of abandoned buildings. Sho expected getting killed and when he woke up here, with an odd winged moon crystal in hand, he had thought he was in a prison.
But that prison had brought him Kei. Not only that, it was Kei smiling in the sunlight instead of going up in flames like he would have if they were in Mallepa. Giving him a moment of this kind of grace made Sho feel a lot less irritated at whoever was directing that Crystal of Fire.
"Kei. How long have you been here?"
no subject
To be honest, this prison is the best one Kei has ever been to. Even more so than the one that was going to grant him the death he wanted, the man who had let him go when he fled from their custody. He couldn't quite tear his eyes away from the sight that he hadn't been able to look upon for so long. There were a lot of sunrises to make up for.
"Since yesterday." Imagine his surprise when he arrived in the middle of the day and wasn't turned into a vampire bonfire.

Crossing her arms over her chest, the imp stood near the bulletin board with a less than pleased expression, glowering as she examined the area. "Well you had better be working on some way to make it up to me," she commented off-handedly, leaping onto her moogle's back as he struggled to stay afloat.
"Well we're not going to figure anything out by just standing here, either," holding on, she pumped her heels as one would do with any steed. "Let's get going already!"
6
She has met some short people since waking up here but never one that wanted to ride a moogle.
no subject
The moogle beneath her weight struggled to bat his wings as hard as he could, as the imp atop him patted his head roughly. "You love helping don't you, Kulupa?"
"O-of course--!" the companion replied, groaning with the effort it took to keep them both at eye level.

"Moogles aren't gonna be much help." He'll kindly allow himself into this conversation unprovoked. "They're not much good for riding either." He chimed before she could reply with a response of sorts.

But this young man was different. He might have had the face but...
"Oh, I don't know about that," she sat piggy-back style on her poor moogle now, who was huffing and puffing with effort. "I'm sure he could be doing worse, but we're not going to find out if that's true, right Kulupa~?"
"K-kupooooo," the moogle grunted.
Leaning forward with a bent elbow, Midna rested her chin on an upturned palm. "So who are you supposed to be?"
3/
This was... this was Unacceptable!
Haman fumed behind her tight lipped expression, her violet eyes running over the stone walls and a bare floors of the decrepit little room she was standing in now.
After the lavish hall of Axis, and the soft comforts of The Chalice this felt akin of being thrown out on the streets! Just a few days ago she was a Queen, and now... now there was this.
There was movement beyond her doorway, she could hear it, feel someone moving about. Anxiety seized her guts as she reached for a weapon she did not have.
Just another thing lost on her way to this world.
"Who's there!?" She demanded in a regal sort of way, burying her misgivings under the veneer of power and influence.
Re: 3
Of course, at the same time, well, this could be someone robbing her house of what little she had.
Then again, since when did a thief say 'Who's there?'? Probably not a very good one at the least.
"I live here. Who are you?" she retorts, bringing her hands up in preparation to lay someone out in the next seconds if the answers wasn't satisfactory.
Re: 3
As the blue haired woman appeared around the door frame Haman fought the urge to jump. With out her guard, or Char, she felt venerable and frighted inside. She had never been alone like this, not in a many many years. It was beyond unnerving.
"I am Haman Karn, the Regent of Neo-Zeon!" Thought he voice reflected none of her misgiving, and she held herself with an air of intimidation. "Who are you? And what do you mean 'live here'? I was told I was to live here! Have you been sent as servant then?"

Rysher Thianno | OC | please forgive my lack of icons
[There's a young man arguing with his moogle, who stands out a bit with his green hair and orange eyes. He dons a white mage's robes, and a black mage's hat. Rysher in complete disbelief of this situation, shaking his head and waving his hands.]
N-No way, this can't be right! I'm... I'm dreaming! That's got to be it. This is too crazy.
It's not a dream, kupo! I promise! You really are a Hero of Light.
A Hero, me? You can't be serious. And what even is outfit? Why would someone heroic wear a hat like this?
3.
[Rysher's never lived on his own, and it's a scary prospect. Hearing that he has a roommate is a bit of a relief, even if he's a bit nervous about it. What if they're messy? What if they like gross food? What if they don't like him?!
Quietly he enters the small house and looks around. It's very... humble? The teenager calls out to see if his new roommate was presently home.]
Hey, hello? Anyone home~?
no subject
Since, well...it's kind of been over four hundred years...
Without his original senses, he's a little on...edge. He's used to knowing people are approaching well before the fact. Seriously, he...hates feeling so weak. The Job Classes aren't helpful, in the slightest, in comparison to what he used to be able to do.
So, when he hears that voice, the redhead is moving into the living area. The second crimson eyes land on the person, they narrow. His body language might not be what a person would consider particularly welcoming, at the moment.]
...Guessing you'll be living here, too.
[The Scholar's voice is quiet, yet holds a stern sound within it. It's not necessarily intentional. This is how he talked to the others within the village he'd been acting as leader of, just before waking in this place.
He doesn't think anything of the guy's appearance. If the stranger were to look closely, he'd see that his features are quite that of a human: faintly pointed ears, sharper-than-average canines, and an array of small, crimson-colored swirls on his arms.
The hair is...interesting, though, and Kurakai's eyes linger on it for a moment.]
no subject
I guess so! I'm Rysher and, um, I'm new. But I guess that's obvious. And apparently I'm now some things known as a white and black mage? [He shrugs, grinning sheepishly. His moogle explained it all, but it was still overwhelming.]
Re: Rysher Thianno | OC | please forgive my lack of icons
No! No way! You cannot seriously expect me to wear this ridiculous thing on my head!
[The moogle tries timidly to interject, but she's having none of that.]
I mean, the hero thing is bad enough but this is just not okay!
no subject
Right?! I mean, whose idea was this? Why do they think this makes us look heroic? These are robes.

9/ Random Encounter
The irony of skeletons being her encounter the first thing in this unfamiliar world with unfamiliar clothes. On top of that her attacks seemed to be working well, except that she felt rather silly in her new attire. Not that it's much different from her usual.
"You really want to play dirty games, huh?"
She swats one that jumped at her across the field. Suddenly, she was surrounded. Selen just smiles, "Now that's rude. I'm not in such a playful mood today."
She readies her sword as her eyes were suddenly very sharp as she raised her sword. She didn't need to question why or how. She was going to go with the flow and hope that nothing happens. She's sure she can take them on.
9/ Random Encounter with A Fiend
"My my, and I was so impressed with your display. I thought I could just watch." says the incredibly long-haired woman speaks from beneath the massively wide brim of her class's signature straw hat. "But... Helping is just as good a greeting as any, isn't it?". Continuing her approach, she waves her arm and another powerful gale renders two more undead flat on their bony pelvii.
no subject
"I'm that skilled aren't I?" she chimed a she hashed another group of them, though her expression was less playful and more serious as she said that.
"Agreed. You scratch my back here and I will scratch yours, girlie."
She replied as she hashed another out of the way. Of course, allies are important.
"You're not half bad. See if we can put an end to this circus ring."

9/ Random Encounter with a Vampire
But as he entered battle he definitely noticed a range of differences. He was usually stronger than this, faster, and even his regenerative abilities where far superior. He releases a frustrated snarl from his throat as he hacked the skeletons down.
It was still a simple task for the trained soldier, but it was annoying how SLOW taking down such easy and simple foes was proving to be. Mikaela zipped through the hoards, taking down anything that got in his way, not even thinking that another "hero of light" could also be in the fray until he breaks through into an opening and raises his arm to strike down against her.
no subject
Now back to this vampire fellow here. She was relieved for some assistance but who would have thunk a vampire would be her saviour of all people. Not that she was ungrateful about it or anything. Selen only chuckled at this. He was pretty good with the sword and he was knocking out the skeletons with ease until he didn't seem to recognized that she was a human among the skeletons.
Her sword came flying up to parry his as she grinned as he tried to strike down at her unintentionally of course. She had no hard feelings about this.
"My, a little excited aren't we Mr. Vampire?"
9/ Random Encounter with a -real- Hero
The man was clad in purple/silver armor in the Dragoon style, light and flexible and with the appropriate helmet as well. Shaped like a dragon with a long silver plume -his hair- which descended down his back from the top-back of his head.
The nearest skeleton turned and made to flail at him, the arm being met with a firm boot to kick the attack away and then he swung once more with his sword in a downwards arch to counter.
