— Most importantly, have fun!
1/ Welcome to the world of Crystallis!
You have seen reality shatter and collapse around you, in the depths of the void you found a Crystal and now you are in the city of Aqures Ixen, surrounded by Moogles and people as lost and confused as you are. On the bright side, everyone thinks you're a hero! On the downside, they expect you to save the world. Maybe their expectations are a bit too much. Thankfully, you're not abandoned to your fate as a Moogle explains to you everything you need to know. Maybe it's time to get to know your companions in misfortune. Besides, it seems this has occurred past month already-- Maybe some people who have been here for longer than you may help.
2/ Do you like your new life?
No? Well, either way, you better get used to it, to your new powers, to your new house, to the ball of fur that follows your every steps—Who knows, maybe you'll even make some friends here. Besides, even if everyone expects you to save the world, fighting isn't the only way to do so. Maybe you could open a shop to help and properly equip your friends who are actually eager to fight. Maybe you could try and gather people who think diplomacy can stop war, you could even start your own researches on the Crystals— Or you could make sure your house is the prettiest in all of Aqures Ixen. Anything is possible.
3/ Neighborhood woes
The government of Aqures Ixen is very sorry, but it seems there are too many of you Heroes of Light. Hence why there is no free houses left in district dedicated to housing you. This may also be why you're not alone in the house that was given to you. Hopefully you're not living with a mad villain plotting to take over the world late at night, and hopefully your neighbor isn't a singer who doesn't know how to sing. On the bright side, you may have someone very cool living with you and an artist next door! It's just not likely.
4/ Crystallis de Chocobo
Upon arrival, your Moogle gave you a map of Crystallis. This world may be a bit big for you to explore, so why not go to the Chocobo Farm and ask for a Chocobo? These big birds can't fly, but they're much more efficient than horses when it comes to travelling. Maybe it's your first time riding a Chocobo; it might be a good idea to have someone with you in case something goes wrong. Or maybe the old man at the farm didn't have any Chocobos left and gave you some Chocobo Lure© so you can go and capture your own. You can find details on Chocobo Capture here.
5/ A thing called Mognet
Hopefully you weren't used to Internet and cellphones back home. Otherwise, you might be a tiny bit confused when your Moogle returns to you with a stack of letters. Or maybe someone else's Moogle is coming to you with a voice message it learnt by heart and is now going to recite to you with a lot of Kupo. That's how the "network" works here.
6/ A thing called Strike
In spite of how old-fashioned it is, Mognet is very useful and odds are that you may have become dependent on it. Hopefully not, because one local tradition seems to be Mognet Strikes. Nobody knows any more whether the Moogles have legitimate reasons to go on strike or if they are just lazy. But today, Mognet is down, and to get information you have no choice but going to the public board in the third district or in taverns.
7/ I believe I can fly~
You are on an Airship! Airships regularly depart from Aqures Ixen and stop by most major cities in the world, so they're the perfect means of transportation for you to go and explore this world. You can go anywhere in a matter of hours — One can only hope you don’t have motion sickness.
8/ Exploration
Enough expository banter. Now is the time to explore. Maybe rather than spending most of your time in Aqures Ixen, you'd rather spend it living in Balicea, or betting on Chocobo Races in Trano Golsaucia. Or maybe you'd rather go and explore some ancient ruins that may hold some precious information. With Airships and Chocobos at your disposal, you can go nearly anywhere that isn't under imperial control; unless you have a death wish of course.
9/ Random Encounter
You were minding your own business walking around, and suddenly monsters attacked you! Time to put to use the skills you've learned with your Jobs! Alternatively, maybe this encounter isn't random at all, and you have been sent on a mission to kick some imperial asses in the war confronting the Heran Empire and the Republic of Esdham. Good luck!
10/ Getting Jobs is hard
It all started when you asked Jessie to give you a new Job. What could and should have been a formality, quickly turned into a trial. All you wanted was a Job, and here you are in the wild, hunting for a Malboro Vine. Or maybe you are in some ancient and decrepit ruins looking for an artifact. Or yet again, maybe she simply asked you to assist her in her researches on the Crystals. Getting new Jobs is not easy. Consider yourself happy though, at least you don't have to do that alone.
11/ The world is subject to unrelenting pain and suffering…
This is why you should play a game. After all, there are things a lot more important than saving the world: Blitzball is one of them. Triple Triad is another. Why don't you take a break and do something different for once; anyone wanting to play Blitzball is given a special potion allowing them to breath underwater, whereas someone who wants to play Triple Triad should have no difficulties finding veterans more than happy to get rid of their low level cards.
12/ Wild Card
Don't like the options offered here? Go crazy and choose what you want to do in this world!

3 (Anyone is welcome)
He had just opened up a book to start his daily study while his moogle Lora hovered close by. She hummed a little tune and Baralai seemed okay with it -- at first.
"What'cha doin', kupo?" Lora sang her words.
Baralai sighed and turned the page. He didn't think that responding to her was a priority when the obvious was staring right at her. Lora didn't take the hint that he wanted to study in silence and Baralai's brow knitted in frustration. His lips curled back in a subtle sneer. "Do you mind?"
"Not at all! I wanna read too, kupo!" Lora chirped happily while she flitted from his left shoulder to his right.
Baralai sighed and dropped his shoulders and shook his head. "Then read something else."
"But the books are too heavy, kupo." The moogle whined and sobbed dramatically.
Baralai thought to move to another location but avoiding the moogle was impossible when he had to keep the window open for fresh air. "Could you be quiet, please?"
"I would if you get me the book, kupo." She huffed with her cheeks puffed out.
Baralai relented and handed her a book to read and opened it for her. Lora giggled with glee and the realized the type of book Baralai had picked. She sighed softly once, then twice just a bit louder with the third one even louder than the preceeding two.
He huffed and slammed his hand down. "What now?"
"It's boooring!" Lora whined once again.
This time, Baralai was about at the point of nearly shouting but instead he slammed his book closed and tucked it away with a roll of his eyes. "I didn't need to study."
"So, does this mean that you'll go out?" Lora seemed to brighten up just then.
"No." Baralai was at his wit's end. "Leave me be."
Not just Anyone has arrived! I have!!!
"QUIET MUSHI!" The second voice was high pitched and hushed; followed by soft snickers.
"It's mooshoo..." The voice still wasn't amused but after a depressing grunt it stayed silent.
"STOP RIGHT THERE!" Yuffie now stood at the top of the stairs, making sure she was above the man, his Moogle and the collection of books.
"You have entered the territory of the Legendary Hero! The White Rose of Wuti!" Her hands were placed her her hips as the young girl looked down at the boy.
Can we assume roomies? XD
Baralai watched his moogle companion and saw Yuffie at the top of the stairs. He stepped toward the landing and smirked but he wasn't in a playful mood. In fact, he was far from it but at least his moogle was pestering him. Instead, he had another issue to deal with and that was his roommate.
Oh great, just what he needed. "Figures you would show up. I wonder what took you so long." He spoke softly. "Sadly, we have to share the space and it's steadily becoming a little cramped."
Baralai didn't want to admit that he was a bit claustrophobic and there were other things that made him uneasy. Chocobos were one of those things.
Yes! Though might see it a little differently... :3
Yuffie puffed up her chest and crossed her arms. "I don't know what you're talking about. You come into my home and make a mess with those awful books!" Her head turns to the side with a urmph.
It was clear that the young fifteen year old was not happy about sharing a space and refused to accept it.
The moogles!
"It doesn't work that way, Lora. You've said it yourself." Baralai said and then moved back toward his books to straighten them up in stacks to clear some space. "Besides, wasn't the strike started because some of you were breaking the rules?"
"Uh...well, there's more to that, kupo, and stop with the stuffy talk!" Lora pointed her hand toward Baralai and waved her arm up and down in her frustration. "You're boring!"
MooShoo!!!
He was happy to hear her say that but he was still upset with her for causing the commotion. "Anyway!" She pointed back at Baralai. "If you are to stay here all boring stuff must be kept in your room!"
NGL, I'm laughing so hard at this. Wow, the stares!
It was strange, he knew that he needed to study but the irrefutable truth of the matter was that he had to give in or they would fight. He was too much of a pacifist to create a distortion in harmony, even though verbally was a different matter. He was feeling a bit irritated and he did his best to hold it all back from the last bit of conversation they had.
Lora watched the hero she was assigned too and tilted her over sized head with her hand to her chin. "Kupo?"
no subject
Mooshoo reached out trying to steady the young girl but gravity was too fast. He cringed as she crashed to the bottom of the stairs. "OW!"
no subject
Her foot was by his face. He sat up and rubbed the back of his head with a wince. "Ouch."
Concerned, he looked over at Yuffie. "You told me that I needed to put them in my room. Are you okay?"

"Mogurdy! Please stop this!" Came a rather desperate and out of breath voice. A head of gray hair appeared first, covered in a decorative bandana soon followed by a tanned face and golden-brown eyes. He was flushed from running as he hopped onto the window sill, desperate to grab at Mogurdy and missed.
"No Hero of Light should focus on roses, kupo!"
Firion sighed, hanging his head. And then, he looked up with wide eyes, suddenly realizing just where he was. "M-My apologies, sir! I didn't mean to intrude."
no subject
"It's fine." He placed the closed book on top of another book and set it aside for now. Studying would have to come later, it seemed, and he sighed. "I'm Baralai."
Lora was interested in speaking with the moogle and looked at the rose. "It's soooo pretty, kupo!"
no subject
"Well, of course, kupo! You got all that armor and you're a Hero of Light! Kupo! Why are you carrying something so... so girly, kupo?!"
"It was a gift, Mogurdy, as I have told you countless times, now will you please give it back?"
no subject
Lora sighed and shook her head. "Don't tell me. You like flowers too, kupo?"
"Of course. It means that the land is rich to grow things. What's there not to like about flowers?" Baralai turned his head toward Lora and then toward Firion. "It's a pleasure to meet you. This is Lora."
no subject
When Mogurdy floated a bit too close to Firion, the weaponsmaster reached out and managed to snag the flower. The moogle flailed with a cry at the swiftness and Firion let the flower disappear so Mogurdy couldn't steal it back.
"This is Mogurdy."
no subject
Roses were associated with life where he was from and everything seemed fine. The antics between the two made him watch as if it was the most interesting thing in the world. It was as if what was bothering him had not been an issue any longer. "You know, roses are not just for girls. They symbolize strength and beauty in some places. It also represents grace and dignity."
Lora swooped toward Mogurdy to help the flailing moogle. "I think our heroes are strange, kupo." She whispered to her co-worker.
Thankfully, Baralai wasn't close enough to hear what his moogle had said.
no subject
Mogurdy soon righted himself with a huff, clearly disappointed that the rose was taken away and Firion hid it.
"Have you been here long, Baralai?"
no subject
Baralai dismissed what was going on with his moogle and shook his head slowly. "Sadly, no. I just arrived three days ago and I'm just now discovering my goal. You?"
Like Firion, Baralai was good with light conversation as long as they don't delve into the personal. He was quite reserved given the station that he was given back home.

Re: 3 (Anyone is welcome)
It was hard enough finding a some place with enough space for all the research Ales planned to do, but being surrounded by inconsiderate roommates drained away his typical cheery demeanor. Even worse, there were no chairs in this house tall enough for him, and he had to sit on the table, surrounded by books and his notes instead of working at a desk like he should.
Mimi hopped onto the table next to Ales, careful not to step on the notes scattered in front of her, and gave him a back on his back. "Shh, calm down, kupo." She picked up several sheets of paper and stacked them in the order they were written. That would cheer him up.
And it does help. Ales was at least thankful for having such a helpful Moogle following around, taking him immediately to the library and answering his questions surprisingly well.
"Thanks. Say, can you put those notes away in my trunk? I'll review them tomorrow." He spoke in a quiet, almost whisper-like voice. At least it might show Balarai what kind of volume to use in the study room.
no subject
Lora huffed and popped her hero on the back of the head which only earned a stern glare from the monk and scholar. Of course, she didn't see that stare while she was looking at the helpful moogle go about her tasks of sorting papers and putting them away.
Even thought he was considered a magistrate, he was still young and made youthful mistakes. It was part of growing up and boy did he like to ask questions. He cleared his throat a quietly as he could and then, "I'm Baralai. And this is Lora. Pardon my curiosity, but I must ask. What are you?"
no subject
As he turned to face Baralai, a smile returned to his face.
"I'm Ales. Ales Mansay." He stood up and dusted the front of his robes. "Back in the Glade of Dreams, we're called Teensies; magical creatures of the land!" He accompanied this with a flourish of his hand. "That's probably why some of the people I met at home called me 'The Magician', but honestly, I'm more of a merchant than anything."
The Moogle pokes her head from behind him. "I'm Mimi! Nice to meet you, kupo!"
no subject
"Is magic easy for you?" Baralai wondered while Lora happily returned the wave.
"Hi, Mimi!" Lora's chipper response earns a sideways glare from Baralai.
Baralai's subtle expressions seemed more into the likes of wanting to learn as much as he could and if his roommate was equally as keen to study it would make for some very interesting conversations and notes later on.
While he wasn't a strong magic user, he did know how to mix things thanks to a friend that taught him how. He took an interest in potions and then the idea presented itself. "You mentioned you're a merchant. I'm interested in making potions. Perhaps we can make a business venture to acquire some extra gil, if you're interested of course."
no subject
"Ah, you see," he put on an apologetic smile before launching into a rapid-fire monologue, "it doesn't necessarily mean we all can perform kind of magical rituals we see in this world. In fact, I as just researching how they actually worked!" He gestures towards the book he was reading a few minutes earlier. "We Teensies are more of the type that's in tune with the harmonies of our world.
"Not that there are communities of Teensies that specialize in various forms of magic, but you can't exactly ask anyone to do some sort of high-level ritual. But we all have an affinity towards it; why, it's part of our basic schooling!"
Ales rested his hands on his hips as he considered something. "I could impress you with some of my skills right now, but unfortunately, all of those powers seemed to have gone away once I arrived." Satisfied with that explanation, he pulled out some blank sheets of paper.
"I may have worked with selling potions at some point, but I don't have a clue as to how the physics of this world work. I would gladly appreciate any help with that, in fact!"
As he spoke, he began writing a few words underneath each other on the paper, spaced three inches apart from each other. "Potions" was written on top, with "Magic/Science study" and "Resource Gathering" under it. Right below "Potions", Ales wrote "Balarai - potion making partner".
no subject
"I can help you understand this world." Baralai was actually very pleased that he was going to be useful to the Teensie. The more he spoke with Ales, the more he liked him and that was very important.
"It sounds like you come from a very interesting place. My world was just healing from a massive battle and the people are trying to rebuild their lives once again. I have hope, but it seems that Yevon has other plans for me here." His smile was soft and he did worry about his home. With the threat of Vegnagun still on the back of his mind and the civil unrest that was taking place, the population of his already sparsely populated world was crashing in around his ears. Still, he couldn't dwell on the matters he can't change, but instead focused on what he could.
Magic surrounded them here but it was the person that could wield it that made it strong. "Magic grows as we grow. It's like a seed. It needs to be nurtured and cared for. Any doubts and the spells could fade or not work at all."
no subject
He looked forward to working with Baralai.
Ales frowned at the thought of another world delving into chaos. "I hope that everyone back in your world gets their lives back together quick enough before the next major catastrophe. Those things happen too often for my pleasure, unless you've got a leader competent enough to prevent that." In his experience, that rarely happens. "Or is this Yevon the leader of your new world?"
He kept an attentive face as Baralai discussed magic. Of course you had to practice magic at your own pace. How else do Teensies learn to wizards? It's just like any other subject. "I'm not exact-lay sure why you are mentioning these," he said, pronouncing each syllable slowly. "Are you suggesting I take up magic while here?"
Learning to wield magic in this world would be useful, but Ales felt a little uncomfortable about the thought. It also would take away time from finding and creating items to sell.
no subject
"I apologize if it seems like I'm rambling, but there is a purpose for what I'm saying. If we are to do as the people are asking us, we'll need more than just skill. We need to bring these people hope and in return, we must seek ways to keep our own hopes alive." These three days have been a challenge and a learning experience.
"Magic might be a good idea to learn here even if it's not something you can do. But if what the moogles say is correct, and I trust that they are, then it's possible that magic is something we all can do." Baralai spoke confidently and closed his book. "After all, I am a priest first."
